“A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast…” Proverbs 12:10
There is something quite unique, enjoyable, and special about a critter becoming a family member and friend. It was hard for us not to regard the life our little, Min Pin “beast,” Red. He slept, ate, sat, walked, talked, and played with us every day. He demanded our attention and got it. He pestered and worried us. He set the pace for our schedule. While he brought us the satisfaction of a great hobby, he was more than just an enjoyable pastime for us. He was our little boy. When we had to let him go on Christmas morning of 2021, it was one of the hardest days of last year. That small critter knew how to get the most out of his day, and his love for life motivated us to love our own. We are still grieving the huge hole that small dog left in our hearts. But, the sweet memories we shared with him still bring us joy, and that is a blessing we thank God for.
