“A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance:
but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” Proverbs 15:13
Sometimes, if you’re persistent and look diligently and deeply into a person’s eyes, you might find a smile behind what appears to be a rock solid, hardened heart. Everyone has a smile in them, but they’re often hard to see. After the last few years, I thought smiles might be going extinct (even in my mirror) until I saw one again, then two, and realized that they’re still out there. You just have to look harder for them when they’re hiding behind masks or hidden deep in the hard places of the heart. This year, I’m hunting under every rock until I find more.
Bring It Home
Are you in a hard place and finding it difficult to show a smile? Don’t quit. Look for someone else that’s smiling and get around them. It’s contagious!
Praying for you as we grow together,
Smiles, BRC

Thanks, Beth. Smiles are a bit scarce during this challenging time in our world but like you, I’m making a little extra effort to bring out mine. Thanks for the reminder.
